New ‘X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX’ Set Photo Surfaces: Shows X-Men in Their Suits

A new X-Men: Dark Phoenix set photo has surfaced, showing the X-Men in their suits and spacesuits.

The photo can be seen in the tweet below:

You can see Jean Grey, Cyclops, Storm, what looks to be either Quicksilver or Angel, Beast, and Nightcrawler in their X-Men suits, a design we had not seen yet. We can also see Mystique in a white tank top on the right. In front of the main characters, we can see several men and women in spacesuits, which makes sense seeing as much of Dark Phoenix will take place in space.

Dark Phoenix is based on The Dark Phoenix Saga from the Chris Claremont run on Uncanny X-Men from the early 1980s, in which the X-Men go to space and Jean Grey is overtaken by a cosmic power known as the Phoenix Force, transforming her powers and mind. Jean, now known as the Phoenix, slowly becomes more and more evil, until she becomes the Dark Phoenix and battles her X-Man compatriots.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix takes place after the events of X-Men: Apocalypse. It is being directed by Simon Kinberg and the legendary Hans Zimmer is composing the score.
