Zazie Beetz, who is playing Domino in the upcoming Deadpool 2 movie, has signed a multi-picture deal with 20th Century Fox.
This means Beetz will be in Deadpool 2, the announced X-Force movie, and one other film. The third film will likely be a third Deadpool movie or a sequel to X-Force.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Beetz’s deal was confirmed for 3 movies in total. In the interview, she also described her training for Domino:
“It was a lot…Especially because in my routine day-to-day, I didn’t really work out that much. So it was a huge transition emotionally and physically … just something I hadn’t felt before. [I’d] never really brought myself that far.”
Domino, also known as Neena Thurman, is a Marvel comics character with a mutant ability giving her luck, triggered by stressful environments. She also has extensive martial arts and weapons skill and experience. Domino has interacted with both Deadpool and Cable (both in the upcoming Deadpool 2 movie) in the comics, due to her membership of X-Force, a spec-ops version of the X-Men. This Marvel Universe Wiki goes in-depth with an explanation of her powers.
Beetz has also starred in Atlanta and Applesauce.
