Last July the world got to see Tom Holland put on the Spidey suit and helm the role of the teenage hero. He did not disappoint whatsoever, and is now getting ready to shoot the sequel. With production starting soon, the studio has been looking for a female to play opposite of Holland’s Spider-Man. The description of what they want is that of a Bond-esque femme fatale. Alongside her will be two agents.

An exclusive from That Hashtag Show has given us more details on the casting that is being done by Sarah Finn. Spider-Man is going overseas in this film which is could could possibly give more detail on who this villain is. They were told:

the script calls for a villain with “elevated ideas” but that, in an interesting twist, not only has the studio not pinned down the ethnicity of the villain, but they’re also open to auditioning male and female leads, ages 30-45,  for the part!

This is pretty open ended, but we know the villain will be of older age again. Another detail given to them was that of another student character. With Peter Parker still just a student in high school, it comes as no surprise that they are looking for a high school antagonist that isn’t afraid to butt heads with Parker. The casting call for this student is open to all males between the ages 18-24.

With not much to go on, this keeps the door open for plenty of speculation until anymore news is released. Who do you think will be the villain in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel? Or better yet, what’s the significance of this new high school character? Let us know your guesses over at SuperBroMovies!
