‘AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR’ Features A Scene That Will Top The ‘CIVIL WAR’ Airport Scene

One of the greatest sequences in cinematic history took place during the events of 2016’s Captain America: Civil War when Team Iron Man went head-to-head with Team Cap. The scene featured the debut of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, the epic arrival of Giant-Man, and the almost-death of War Machine. For almost 20 minutes, Iron Man battled Scarlet Witch, Black Panther hunted Bucky, and Black Widow tested the strength of her friendship with Hawkeye.

It was like an epic comic book fight come to life.

When Civil War was about to be released, it was marketed as the biggest event in MCU history but, with it being the culmination of 10 years of films, Avengers: Infinity War is looking to top that tenfold.

The Russo Brothers, who also directed the most visually-enthralling scene in the third Captain America film, were recently asked by CinemaBlend about their intentions to make their Marvel films bigger and badder and they did not pull any punches in teasing the upcoming Infinity War.

Joe Russo: We have an equivalent that’s like, you know, if you had a comic book, and you open it up to your double panel, and then you fold it out. And then you folded it out again and again.

Anthony Russo: And you have another comic book laid out next to it.

Joe Russo: So we have the equivalent of that in this movie.

If Avengers: Infinity War did not have your interest yet, you’d be hard-pressed to keep it from being snatched at this point.

From the very first team-up film in 2012, the epic battle scenes are just getting bigger ad bigger and, with the addition of the Guardians of the Galaxy(no stranger to hug battle sequences themselves), it makes sense that this huge blockbuster will feature the most massive battle in franchise history.

Avengers: Infinity War will burst into theaters on April 27, 2018!

Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.
