Flashpoint is one of the many upcoming DC movies having trouble getting of the ground. It has gone through several directors and writers that all stepped down from the project, and it was even supposed to come out this year. It looks like there’s still some hope for the Flash’s solo film, though. Game Night directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein recently came on board, and the film may have its filming locations set.
Omega Underground reports that the film could be set to film in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. There’s no word on when this will take place, but if locations are already being scheduled, it would be safe to assume it will happen next year giving the film a release date of late 2019 or 2020.
Vancouver also happens to be the filming location of the Flash tv show, so an on set photo of Ezra Miller and Grant Gustin in their respective flash costumes wouldn’t be too far fetched (please Warner Bros.).
Watchmen and Man of Steel were the last DC films to shoot in Vancouver, but Canada has also been the home to others including Suicide Squad and the upcoming Shazam! which is filming in Toronto right now.
It looks like Flashpoint is heading in the right direction. While it may not be soon, fans will one day get the solo Flash movie they’ve all been longing for.
