The hype train is still going strong leading up to the highly anticipated release of the third Avengers film, which promises to be the culmination and ultimate payoff for the last 10 years of storytelling within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The May issue of Empire Magazine, one of the leading entertainment publications in circulation, has a brand new cover story and a whole slew of stills that give fans a new perspective of the huge cinematic event as well as stir the speculation pot as to the plot and what will be taking place among the chaos.
Take a scroll through the following images:
This cover of Thanos being an obvious homage to the classic cover of the ‘Infinity Gauntlet’ comic book event.
Falcon flies above the huge battle of Wakanda, which many speculate will be the huge third act of the film.
These above shots featuring Spider-Man, Tony Stark, Drax, Star-Lord, and Mantis seem to be the first page of the cover story, featuring the scene seen in the most recent trailer featuring some of the Guardians of the Galaxy meeting a few of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
With Steve Rogers in the background, Bruce Banner looks very concerned in a room which, from moments seen in the most recent trailer, is most likely Wakanda.
Scarlet Witch, Star-Lord, and the big bad Thanos in action in various settings, confirming suspicions that the big battle sequences will be taking place in a variety of environments.
The Vision, who has been entrusted with the Mind Stone, one of the 6 stones Thanos needs to complete his mission of wiping out half the universe, is caged.
Teenage Groot plays around with is a device like most teenagers tend to do (and what you the reader, is probably doing right now).
From the very first reports of the trailer aired at San Diego Comic-Con, fans have been aware of the Guardians coming into contact with an unconscious Thor which has now come to life above.
The caption says it all.
Thanos in all of his glory.
Star-Lord captains the Milano with Mantis in the background.
During the events of the first Avengers film, a powerful scene shows Captain America, wounded and exhausted, standing amidst the carnage out of breath and surveying the damage. This looks like the setting Cap goes head-to-head with Thanos so a similar scenario may play out here.
