I know what you’re thinking, “How is the largest superhero blockbuster of all time the most human of all of them?” I’m asking myself the same question. Entertainment Tonight caught up with Anthony Mackie, who plays Falcon, on a set visit back in 2017. During the interview, Mackie couldn’t help but emphasize just how different this film is from the other installments in the universe.

Mackie has portrayed the hero Falcon in the last few MCU films ever since his introduction in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and has proven his devotion to his pal, Steve Rogers. In the interview with ET, he gives a little more detail on what he meant by ‘most human’ when he said the following:

There are gonna be a lot of shocking moments, and I think the fans are gonna get more than they expect out of this movie, from all the characters… I think this is the most human of the Avengers movies, of all the Marvel movies, so I think you’ll be really surprised to see how normal these superheroes can be.

The word normal, and superhero normally have no relation to each other, but with this context it makes a lot of sense. Films like Spider-Man: Homecoming really gave us a grounded superhero film. From what Mackie says, it seems like we’ll get a lot more of that from our favorite heroes.

After Avengers: Age of Ultron, we didn’t see the vast amount of characters in the same film until the Russo Brother’s directed Captain America: Civil War. By the end of it, the Avengers were no more, and a rift was created. With the team split up, the world is vulnerable and what better threat to it than Thanos himself. We know that Avengers: Infinity War takes place right after Civil War, so any questions on how they get back together will likely be answered. We’ll also get to see Hulk and Thor reunite with the broken team as well!

In just a little over a month we’ll finally get to experience the most human MCU film of all, Avengers: Infinity War. The film is regarded as one of the most anticipated Marvel films and rightly so. How excited are you to see Thanos take on Earth’s mightiest heroes? Let us know over at SuperBroMovies!

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters next month on April 27, 2018!

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
