As we inch our way closer to the release of Avengers: Infinity War, fans wait with bated breath as more and more hints are dropped about the fates of their favorite characters. Many expect one or more of the core team to fall to Thanos’ might. A common guess is Captain America, especially after the most recent trailer. Today, a strong indicator to that guess was said by the captain himself.
Sitting down with The New York Times to talk about his new Broadway debut, Chris Evans had this to say about the role.
“You want to get off the train before they push you off,” he said, and expects that planned reshoots in the fall will mark the end of his tenure in the familiar red, white and blue super suit.
The reshoots refer to dates he’s obliged to shoot for Avengers 4. But after filming is complete for that, the article strongly indicates he will be done. This could mean various things for his fate in the MCU, for all we know he could simply just retire by the end.
