As principal photography began this week on Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel this week, set pictures have been appearing online on what seems to be a regular basis. Earlier this week we saw new images of Brie Larson in the Kree suit as Carol Danvers. These new set pictures show Brie Larson again, but she isn’t the main point of them…

The image on the left features none other than Jude Law, who is playing Mar-Vell in the 2019 film. The images don’t show us Mar-Vell’s suit, but if pictures continue to leak out of the set, it’ll be a matter of days or weeks until we get our first unofficial look at it. Hollywood Pipeline first released the images, as well as a funny anecdote that gives some context to the images:

“Jude Law is seen on set for the first time as Mar-Vell where he joins Brie Larson for a day of shooting ‘Captain Marvel’ in LA. The two had an awkward meeting as Jude tried to say hello to Brie for the first time. She apparently didn’t hear him, and as she walked away she realized who he was and ran to welcome him.”
