Ron Howard, the director of Solo, recently shared a behind-the-scenes image on Twitter and gave a quick update on the film’s production.
The Howard’s tweets are shown below:
The photo shows several TIE Fighters flying through space. At least one of the fighters is exploding while another fires upon an out-of-view enemy, which is likely the Millenium Falcon.
A fan responded to his tweet, questioning him as to why the film is still being worked on so close to its May 25th release date. Howard put the worry to rest by saying they are right on schedule and with a completed score. Solo had a lot of fans worried when the original directors, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, left the project over creative differences. The two will still be receiving Executive Producer credits, however.
The two had left the film after filming had started and Howard was quickly brought on as a replacement. Many fans were worried the film would end up like Justice League, with two different tones from two different directors and lots of last-minute changes. Many fans eased up when the first trailer dropped right after the Super Bowl.
On Twitter, Howard also retweeted another reply, which said how many films are entirely finished production and post-production weeks, and sometimes days, before the film releases:
He also confirmed that another trailer for Solo is coming:
The film stars Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Paul Bettany, Jon Favreau, and Thandie Newton. The screenplay was written by Jon and Lawrence Kasdan.
Many fans were initially worried about the state of Solo, but many seem to have more faith. What do you think? Are you more excited or hesitant for Solo? Let us know on Twitter!
