On March 29th, Stephen Amell shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Colin Donnel’s name on a cast chair on the set of Arrow.
The tweet is shown below:
Colin Donnell then replied to the tweet:
Colin Donnell played Tommy Merlyn, Oliver Queen’s best friend, in the first season of Arrow and was tragically killed in the season finale.
Amell’s tweet seems to hint at the current season returning, via flashbacks, to season one or earlier of Arrow. Amell mentioned the 21st episode in his tweet, which could mean that Donnell will guest star in one or more of the final episodes of the 23 episode season. Season six also has, as of now, had no flashbacks, which were a staple of the first seasons.
Amell and Donnell sure seem to be acting mysteriously, teasing the return of Tommy for the end of season six, likely through flashbacks. What do you think? Are Amell and Donnell screwing around or do you think we’ll see Tommy again? Let us know on Twitter!
Arrow is currently on its sixth season, with episode 16 having premiered on Thursday the 29th.
