John Krasinski Wants To Play MR. FANTASTIC

John Krasinski has been one of the go-to guys when moviegoers are fan-casting their favorite comic book characters. From Shazam to Green Lantern to almost being cast as Captain America, Krasinski has been a face fans have been waiting to see lace up a pair of superhero boots.

Turns out, fans aren’t the only ones. Krasinski himself has his eye on the huge possibilities of playing a superhero in a future film as a part of the highest grossing film franchise of all time, the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During a recent interview with Screenrant to hype his upcoming horror flick A Quiet Place, he was questioned about the idea of he and his wife, Emily Blunt, taking on one of the most iconic couples in the Marvel Universe, Reed and Sue Richards AKA Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

Screen Rant: A lot of our fans at Screen Rant love the superhero stuff. You and Emily have both flirted with this for a little bit… any chance that you guys could be playing the Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic?

Krasinski: Oh yeah, the Fantastic Four. I would love that! I mean listen, I’m still getting into the whole superhero thing. I didn’t read comics as a kid, not as many, I read some but not as much, but I’m a huge superhero fan so yeah, I’d love to do something like that. If they’re are any left, a lot of these have been taken but the ones that are left, yeah, I would love to do something like that. And listen, I’d love to work with her again so any chance I got would be great.

Emily Blunt was a name highly rumored to be attached to Captain Marvel before Brie Larson was announced as the titular character. One of the most intriguing things regarding the upcoming horror film A Quiet Place is that Blunt and Krasinski working on screen together. Their real-life chemistry could do wonders in helping redeem the characters if they are brought over to the MCU eventually.

What do you think? DO you think good old Jim Halpert from ‘The Office’ would make a good Mr. Fantastic alongside his wife? Would he be a good fit in the future MCU? Let us know in the comment below and @superbromovies.
