‘DEADPOOL 2’ Screenwriter Rhett Reese Denies Cutting A Major Villain From The Film

There has been recently been a rumor surrounding Deadpool 2 involving one of the film’s antagonists, played by Jack Kesy, was going to be cut from the final product. This was because Kesy’s character did not appear in the test screenings or the trailers. However, one of the film’s screenwriters, Rhett Reese, has now made a statement on Twitter saying that the rumor was false, meaning that Kesy would not be cut from the film at all. The tweet can be seen below:

Based on the lack of Kesy in any of the promotional material, it seems that his first appearance will be revealed for the film’s theatrical release. Not much is known about his character at the moment, but there have been reports stating that he would be playing the obscure X-Men character Black Tom Cassidy, who can blast through wooden objects and use plant energy.

With Deadpool 2‘s trailers revealing itself to be a film about the introduction of the X-Force, it is likely that Kesy was not present because the filmmakers wanted to save a few surprises for its actual release. In any case, Deadpool fans can rest assured that the film will have all of its intended antagonists.
