A few months ago it was reported that Jessica Chastain was cast in the IT sequel. Since then, fans have been waiting anxiously to see who will portray the rest of the older Losers Club. Well now we may just have two more of the adult characters.

It is in a negotiation stage, but it is said that James McAvoy and Bill Hader are in talks to join Chastain for the sequel. The sequel will be focused on the adult lives of the children who took down Pennywise, and now they’ll have to join forces once again to take down the clown.

Jessica, who will be playing Beverly, has been confirmed. If the new deals go through, James McAvoy will play Bill Denbrough, the leader of the squad who lost his little brother. His future consists of becoming a successful author, until he returns to Derry, where his past comes back to haunt him. Bill Hader will play Richie Tozier, the humorous one of the group who also had the dirtiest mouth. Finn Wolfhard had the pleasure of playing him in Chapter One so Bill Hader seems to be a perfect fit. Tozier becomes a DJ as an adult until he too has to return to Derry along with the rest of the Losers Club.

As for Pennywise, Bill Skarsgård will return to play his key role. The kid actors who made IT so successful are expected to return for the sequel but obviously as flashbacks, since the story revolves around them as adults. Andy Muschietti will return as director as well.

If this goes through, IT: Chapter Two seems like it will have quite the ensemble. The first chapter made over $700 million globally so the bar has been set pretty high. Production is said to start this July, with a release date set in September of next year.
