Things are beginning to heat up for Tim Miller and James Cameron’s upcoming Terminator reboot, as actor Gabriel Luna has landed the title role in the sixth film of the long running action series.
Luna is perhaps best known for his role as Ghost Rider/Robbie Reyes in ABC and Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. The still untitled Terminator sequel will be the first to involve James Cameron since 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day. The film will be helmed by Deadpool director Tim Miller, and will see the return of legendary action star Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800, along with fellow series veteran Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor.
Though story details are being kept under wraps for now, the film is said to follow the events of Terminator 2, ignoring the many sequels and reboots that have been released since. Deadline also reports that actors Natalia Reyes (Pickpockets) and Diego Boneta (Rock of Ages) will be joining Luna in the reboot. Man of Steel’s David Goyer will handle script duties. The still untitled reboot/sequel will hit theaters on November 22, 2019.
