With all the marketing that has come out for Avengers: Infinity War, the one hero who has been absent is Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner. Fans have speculated that Renner wouldn’t be involved in the third Avengers film, but the directors of Infinity War, the Russo Brothers, have insisted they have not forgotten him. During an interview with JOE.ie, Joe of the Russo Brothers has insisted that fans need to know that Renner will be in the film.

“We keep saying, ‘Patience is a virtue. We did not forget the twice-nominated Jeremy Renner. We cooked up a story for him that is a little bit of a long play. Not a short play.”

It is best believed that Hawkeye will get an appropriate screen time during Infinity War. Best trust in what the Russo Brothers are doing for Barton as I believe they are going to do justice for each of the Marvel superheroes involved in the Age of Ultron sequel. During a set visit made by the press, Joe talked about where Hawkeye stood after the events of Captain America: Civil War occurred.

“Hawkeye coming out of Civil War is in the same position that the Cap and Falcon are in at the end of that movie, and Ant-Man. And coming into this movie, the characters who are on Cap’s side coming out of Civil War, some made certain decisions and others made other decisions that led to different paths and them dealing with oversight in this movie in a different way. So, Hawkeye’s on his own journey in this movie.”

Co-director, Anthony, also expressed that when we do see the bow and arrow archer, our questions will be answered in Infinity War when he goes on his own journey.“All will be revealed.”

While it is a short answer given by Anthony, I do believe that we should trust in what the Russo Brothers are doing with this film and Avengers 4. They know what they are doing. The storylines for Barton that we were given in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Civil War were such strong and impactful stories that I believed it will continue into Infinity War and the Russo Brothers will certainly make up for Hawkeye’s absence in the marketing. I also think it is a good possibility that Hawkeye, the most normal superhero of the Avengers, will become one of the best characters in Infinity War.
