Robert Downey Jr. Has Not Read The Full ‘AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR’ Script

Although Avengers: Infinity War is going to be released next week, little is known about the film outside of the characters that will appear. The current trailers have revealed only a few details, such as the locations of certain action setpieces and which iconic superheroes get to share scenes together. It turns out that not only is the film a mystery to the public, but also a mystery to a large percentage of the cast. One such cast member is Tony Stark/Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr., who has revealed that he has not read the full script.

During the film’s Red Carpet Fan Event on Facebook Live, Downey asked co-director Joe Russo about when he and the other cast members will be given the script. In addition, he states that because he has not read it, he does not know the significance of his scenes. The full quote can be seen below:

“Joe, when are you gonna show us the script?…We’ve been shooting scenes blind. We don’t know what they might mean.”

Downey’s question signifies that only a select few are aware of how the film will actually play out, such as the directors and screenwriters. Therefore, the cast will most likely get a glimpse of the film’s plot once they see the finished product. This means that Downey and others can anticipate the movie much like the general audience.

What do you think about Avengers: Infinity War being kept in secrecy even among one of its biggest stars? Be sure to tweet your thoughts at @superbromovies and stay tuned for more Infinity War news.
