Emma Fuhrmann Cast As Cassie Lang In ‘AVENGERS 4’

We are a little over a week away from the release of Marvel Studios Avengers: Infinity War. The film stands to be the culmination of the past ten years of the MCU, but the question going through every fans mind is what will we see next. Next year we are due to find out with Avengers 4, but interestingly enough we know nothing about it. But now thanks to a recent casting reveal we may have some new ideas about the film.

It was recently revealed that the 16-year-old actress Emma Fuhrmann has been cast as Cassie Lang, the daughter of Scott Lang AKA Ant-Man, in Avengers 4. The addition was first noticed on IMDB and confirmed by That Hashtag Show. They learned that Fuhrmann has in fact filmed scenes as Cassie Lang, but could not confirm if Abby Ryder Fortson, who has played Cassie in both Ant-Man and Ant-Man and The Wasp will also appear.

For now, we can only speculate why they would cast an actress like Fuhrmann who is significantly older than Fortson. This could mean that Ant-Man and The Wasp and Avengers 4 are separated by a number of years or that Avenger 4 could involve time travel. The latter seems rather likely based on past set photos featuring what appears to be a trip back to the Battle of NY in The Avengers.

This casting is also interesting as it could mean we will see a super-powered Cassie Lang in the film. As we know an older Cassie has been seen with superpowers before in the comics, most notably as Stature and Stinger. This would lend itself very well to a future Young Avengers film in Marvel Studios slate. But for now, we will simply have to wait and see what Avengers 4 has in store for us. So to stay up to date make sure to stay tuned to SuperBroMovies.
