Pom Klementieff Believes An All Female Marvel Team-Up Movie Is In The Works

Avengers: Infinity War will be Marvel’s biggest superhero team-up to date and Captain Marvel will be Marvel’s first female lead superhero to grace the screen. While fansanxiously await for both films to release, Kevin Feige and the rest of the Marvel crew are pitching new concept and ideas including a Black Widow solo film and a female team-up featuring some of Marvel’s greatest heroes.

There has been a ton of buzz surrounding a potential Black Widow spin-off and a all female superhero team up with some of your favorite Marvel actresses is starting to gain traction. Pom Klementieff (Mantis) was recently interviewed by Purebreak for Marvel’s next film Avengers: Infinity War, and revealed she was one of the actresses who spoke to Kevin Feige about a all female Marvel film.

“We spoke with Kevin Feige, and he thought it was a good idea. I think they are developing it right now.” – Pom Klementieff

Talks of an all female Marvel movie was initially brought up by Tessa Thompson and other female actresses to Kevin Feige.

“Recently I marched up with a couple of other women who work in Marvel and [asked Kevin] “How about a movie with some female superheroes? Like all of them.” -Tessa Thompson

Klementieff also revealed Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson is currently in development at Marvel Studios and hopes she can participate in the film. An official announcement has not been made by Marvel yet, but The Wrap has revealed earlier this month Jac Schaeffer was tapped to write the script with a rumor release in 2020.

No word on who will appear in the female lead spin-off but it’s safe to assume Kevin Feige has plenty of actresses to choose from. The female voice is very important and it looks like Marvel is doing everything in the power to get their voices heard.
