Spider-Man’s first solo MCU film, as great as it was, was confined to really just two locations: New York and Washington D.C.. Well, now it looks like the sequel is changing that dynamic completely. There has been multiple reports in recent months as to where the film is taking place but now we finally have confirmation. Kevin Feige himself stated this so it’s sacred indeed. Feige said:
We start filming early July. We film in London. We shot the first film in Atlanta. And we shoot a lot of films in London but there’s another reason we’re shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in New York, but he’ll spend some time in other parts of the globe.
The film will take place after the events of Infinity War and will show the impact the war had on the teenage hero. You’d think they’d be pretty severe considering the scale of the situation. The quote also confirms that the movie will begin shooting in July rather than the rumored May.
Peter Parker is young and new to this world. Seeing him in the sequel will be a completely different version of Parker than we’ve seen before I’m sure. What are your thoughts on the worldwide aspect of the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel? Let us know over at SuperBroMovies!
