‘AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR’ Smashes Records To Become Fastest Film To Earn $1 Billion

In an unprecedented turn of events, the “little superhero movie that could” will cross $1 billion at the global box office today.

Yes, after grossing an estimated $31.4 million on Friday to reach a global total of $974.5 million, Avengers: Infinity War has become the fastest film to break a billion. Perhaps this should’ve been expected following rave reviews and a record-breaking opening weekend, but it’s an impressive feat nonetheless.

The weekend projections show that Infinity War is set to make approximately $122 million this weekend. Clearly, the fan base has not been burned by the bold choices The Russo Brothers made in the third act as this film is showing no signs of slowing down. If it continues to do this well, expect some very high projections for Avengers 4.
