With Marvel Studios recent release Avengers: Infinity War, it is no mystery that that fans are excited and speculating what is next. With movies such as the Ant Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel and the untitled Avengers 4, fans are demanding news and what’s in store for the near and distance future. One thing that we can confirm is that Adam Warlock will not be showing up in Avengers 4 next May.
The Russo Brothers, fresh off the release of Infinity War, spoke with Comicbook.com recently stating that Adam Warlock, who was teased in the post credits of Guardians of the Galaxy 2, will not be showing up in Avengers 4:
“Yeah [Adam Warlock]’s not showing up in our stories. Look, our job as we said a million times is to tell the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not to do direct adaptations of the comics because we’re comic book fans. I have no interest as a director in telling a story that’s already been told or in seeing one that’s already been told.”
They directors then said even though Warlock might not be in Avengers 4, its all to keep the audiences locked in with excitement and then deliver with surprises through their films.
“If I know all the events story as they’re going to happen then what’s the point of going to the film? We want to keep surprising audiences and continue the story that started with Iron Man One a decade ago.”
Sounds like the the Russo’s, Feige and the rest of Marvel Studios have lots of store for fans in the coming years!
