First ‘SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY’ Reactions Call It A Fun Adventure, But Not Without Its Flaws

Solo: A Star Wars Story held its premiere last night in Los Angeles, and the reactions have begun to pour in from both critics and fans.

While the film’s reviews will remain embargoed until May 15, those who attended the premiere have shared their thoughts via Twitter. If these early impressions are any indication, it appears that Disney and Lucasfilm will have another hit on their hands. Most of the reactions from social media seem to be overwhelmingly positive, with much of the praise being given to Donald Glover’s Lando and Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s L3-37.

Leading man Alden Ehrenreich is said to have delivered a strong and worthy performance as a young Han, and there appears to be plenty of surprises and emotional depth in store for audiences. Some viewers have walked away criticizing the film’s slightly clunky first act, as well as a few too many nostalgic winks and nods. But overall, it seems that Solo will become another welcome addition to the Star Wars canon.
