Leaked LEGO Minifigure Provides Possible First Look At BLACK MANTA In ‘AQUAMAN’

If you’re jonesing to finally get a first official look at the Aquman movie, we can’t help you. But if you want to know what Black Manta might look like, then you are in luck.

A trailer for James Wan’s Aquaman solo film, starring Jason Momoa, continues to elude the internet, seven months out from the movie’s December release. The eyes of any average fan hasn’t seen what villains Ocean Master or Black Manta will look like. Black Manta’s live-action design is of particular interest, since his armor is so visually interesting and iconic. While we wait for official footage, we may have our first glimpse at Aquaman’s arch nemesis.

A leaked LEGO minifigure has surfaced on Instagram showcasing what Black Manta’s armor design could look like.

If that’s the final look he bears in the movie, fans will probably be pleased, as it’s very close to his comic book look. But why should you believe some random Instagram account? Well this particular source previously leaked Avengers: Infinity War LEGOs that turned out to be real. This is also a new design compared to previous version of the character in other LEGO sets, which you can see below for comparison.

As you can see, the new one is quite different. And this isn’t even the first we’ve heard about Black Manta looking like he does in the source material. Descriptions of the unreleased exclusive trailer from CinemaCon described the brief peak it provided of Black Manta as “ripped from a comic“. So take it with a grain of salt if you wish, but this leak is seemingly legit. Black Manta will be played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the movie.
