We’ve been hit with more and more casting news for the next chapter of IT and it has been quite pleasant. With people like Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, and James McAvoy all being cast in adult roles of the Losers Club, people were waiting to see who would be Bill Hader’s comedic opposition in the role of Eddie. Well, the news has finally been announced.

James Ransone has recently confirmed that he will be playing the role of adult Eddie in IT: Chapter Two. He confirmed this via his private Twitter with a tweet of Eddie saying, “Well, it’s official. I will have these very big small shoes to fill. Keep it to yourselves….” Maybe this wasn’t supposed to be announced yet, but the internet sure knows how to get its way. Check out a screengrab of the tweet below:

If you take a good look at James, they even look quite alike. The casting for this sequel is hitting the nail on the head and only making the anticipation for this movie higher. James is known for his roles in shows like The Wire as well as Tangerine.

With James on board, we almost have a full cast list for the adult versions of the kids. Andy Muschietti will be coming back as director and of course we’ll get to see Bill Skarsgård return to portray Pennywise. The kids will return to play their younger selves once again too. I can’t wait for this movie! What are your thoughts on James Ransone playing Eddie Kaspbrak?! Let us know what you think over at SuperBroMovies! – JB Baker
