News surrounding Marvel TV has been nothing but positive recently. Inhumans was taken off the air and Agents of Shield was picked up for a sixth season, bringing joy to fans everywhere. Let’s keep the train rolling with a rumor revolving around Iron Fist Season 2.
A Reddit user, who appears to have an in at Netflix, revealed that Iron First Season 2 will look very different:
Iron Fist is top notch. Shorter season. Better pacing. better everything, really. they rely on a very tired trope for one of the main plot points, but it works somehow. misty and colleen steal the show. only a part of the costume [will be included] and only as sort of an easter egg.
The Marvel Netflix shows have carried 13 episode runs up to this point, except for The Defenders which ran 8 episodes. Critics have taken the series’ to task over their length, saying that fewer episodes would make for a better viewing experience. If this report is to be trusted, we may be looking at a very different season of Iron Fist.
The user went on to praise the lead character of Danny Rand for his performance in the upcoming season but not without praising fan-favorite Collen Wing:
IF choreography has improved a lot. Danny looks competent now and has cool moments. But the stand out scenes in IF are the ones that involve Colleen.
Finally, we get an insight into who the villain of Season 2 will be:
The villain is exactly who you would expect. But he is well written and his motivations are believable. They even sort of make me buy Joy’s betrayal, which I found immensely stupid at first.
