Avengers: Infinity War has been out for roughly three weeks at this point, and it continues to break box office records and provide Marvel Studios with more profit. A few days ago, the film became the fourth-highest grossing movie of all time, beating out the previous record holder, Jurassic World, which earned $1.672 billion worldwide. With this past weekend, it has now earned a total of $1.813 billion in the worldwide box office, with a $595 million domestic gross and a $1.218 billion international gross.
In terms of worldwide grosses not adjusted for inflation, this puts Infinity War behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Titanic, and Avatar, which earned $2.068 billion, $2.187.5 billion, and $2.788 billion respectively. Considering that the movie’s theatrical run will continue for several more weeks, it is likely that it could reach a total earning that rivals the aforementioned top three.
While Infinity War‘s earnings are slowing down thanks to competition like Deadpool 2 and the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, it will be a challenge for those films to have the success that this has had since its late April release. After all, it holds the record for the fastest film to earn $1 billion worldwide and the all-time highest grossing superhero movie.
