According To The ‘AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR’ Writers, Thanos Can Definitely Beat The Hulk With No Infinity Stones

If there’s one debate that comes up among all comic fans it’s “Who would win in a fight?” For many fans, the question of who would win in a fight between Thanos or Hulk often comes up, one of the strongest Avengers versus the Mad Titan himself. Well for Avengers: Infinity War the writers decided to provide their definitive answer to whether Thanos could beat Hulk in a fight.

In an interview with Collider, Avengers: Infinity War screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely stated who they thought would win between Hulk and Thanos with no Infinity Stones. McFeely revealed that he believes Thanos could definitely beat Hulk in a battle even without the use of his Infinity Gauntlet or the Black Order,

“I think he could. I may be speaking out of turn, but I think Thanos could kick the Hulk’s ass without the [Power Stone].”

While Thanos has often expressed he tries to avoid fighting the Hulk in the comics it makes sense why they featured this in the film. By having Thanos easily defeat the Hulk it showed the fans how big a threat the villain is to the MCU. And McFeely himself revealed this was their motivation behind including the scenes,

“We want to announce Thanos as the biggest villain in the MCU, so he takes out the previous reigning champion. And by defeating Hulk relatively easily and savagely, hopefully there’s a sense of dread over the course of the rest of the movie for anyone else who comes up against him.”

For now we hope we get to see Hulk get a rematch against the Mad Titan in Avengers 4 but for now, we will just have to wait and see. Currently, the Hulk is too afraid to come out so hopefully he gets his confidence back soon.
