Liev Schreiber Set To Play Kingpin In ‘SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE’

After releasing a brand new trailer this morning, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has released a full cast list courtesy of Deadline. According to the casting list, actor Liev Schreiber (Ray Donavan, X-Men: Origins)  is set to play Wilson Fisk, better known as the Kingpin to comic and Spider-Man fans. While not seen in the trailer, it is clear from what was seen that a lot of the Spider-Man mythos will be explored in the upcoming film.

Schreiber is no stranger to comic book roles either, having played Sabertooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It will be interesting to watch him bring a voice to the iconic Spider-Man villain, who has perviously been portrayed by Michael Clarke Duncan in the 2003 Daredevil film, and again by Vincent D’onofrio in the Netflix television version of Daredevil. This will be the first feature length animated feature to showcase Kingpin as well, who hasn’t graced the big screen since portrayed by Duncan.

It will be exciting to see how this animated film will play out, with what seems like a variety of villains for the various versions of the Spider-Man character to face off against, with a large emphasis and focus on the Miles Morales version of the character. be sure to follow the SuperBroMovies Twitter page for all future updates on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. – Ernesto Valenzuela
