With Season 2 of Luke Cage soon to be premiered, much is already known about these newest stories featuring the Harlem vigilante with unbreakable skin and super strength. As with Season 1, this is divided into thirteen episodes, with each of them having roughly an hour long runtime. However, it was not clear at the time as to what these episodes would be titled. It turns out that showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker has now revealed the full title list for this upcoming season.
This morning, Coker posted an announcement on his Twitter page revealing the titles for all thirteen episodes of this new season. All episode titles are taken from songs by Pete Rock and CL Smooth, which continues the naming convention from Season 1 where the titles were based on songs. However, the Season 1 titles were instead taken from songs by Gang Starr. The complete title list can be seen below:
Similar to Season 1, Coker is responsible for the episode titles for the upcoming season, therefore the decision to name them after some of his favorite artists is deliberate. He does not reveal in his tweet why he chose those particular songs, though it is likely that their relevance will be present in the show. It will be interesting to see if he continues this naming convention for any future seasons of Luke Cage or any future projects in general.
