E3 will be shifting into high gear over the next few days, and all the biggest names in the gaming industry will be there to show off all the latest for their respective brands. Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and more are bound to bring their most famous franchises and characters to the forefront with exciting new reveals, and today, Microsoft kicked off the event with a bang, announcing a brand new addition to the Halo franchise.
During their annual E3 press conference, Microsoft packed plenty of surprises, among them being the welcome return of video game icon Master Chief in Halo: Infinite. Infinite will likely pick up after the events of 2015’s Halo 5: Guardians, and will again be developed by 343 Industries. While the trailer doesn’t show much, there’s a lot to be admired. The graphics are expectedly beautiful, and the music invokes the nostalgia of classic Halo games. The trailer can be viewed below.
Plus, there’s even a shot of the now infamous Warthog vehicle roaming the plains, so here’s hoping the latest installment in the long running sci-fi shooter franchise stays true to what fans love.
The game will be an Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive. There’s no word yet on a release date, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest regarding Infinite and more.
