It is fair to say that after the events of Marvel Studios Avengers: Infinity War we have no idea what the future may hold for many Earth’s mightiest heroes. As of now we don’t know how those characters that got dusted by Thanos will return to life, but we do know somehow Spider-Man will return given he is starring in Spider-Man: Far From Home. And while we don’t know too many specifics about the film we do know that one character will not appear in the film, Doctor Strange.
It was reportoed that Spidey would get a new mentor character in the film and given the fact Peter Parker will face off against Mysterio many came to think it would be Doctor Strange. But now during an interview with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige this has been debunked.
During an interview with SlashFilm Feige was asked “Is Doctor Strange gonna be the one in this one?” To which he replied,
“No. I could be coy about it but no. I don’t wanna get people excited. But Benedict and Holland have liked the idea of working together.”
While this is a bit of a dissppintment for those hoping to see Doctor Strange and Spider-Man team up, it is good to know Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Holland are open to working together. But this does beg the qustion of who will team up with Spidey in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
