The Cagesurgance Continues!

He’s broken into Alcatraz, he’s stolen the Declaration of  Independence, he’ll be voicing his lifelong hero, Superman, in Teen Titans Go! To The Movies later this summer and now Nic Cage can add Spider-Man to that list (albeit, not the Peter Parker you know). Cage will be playing Spider-Man Noir in the upcoming animated film. Discussing Film broke the news with Collider confirming the casting.

This is exciting news for any lover of film, ever. Although he has fallen out of mainstream films in recent years, Nicolas Cage was once one of the biggest stars on the planet with his manic and entertaining performances. Many people forget that this guy is an Oscar winning actor.

For those who need a rundown on Spider-Man Noir, here it is. Spider-Man Noir is Peter Parker from another reality where he is a troubled reporter who is bitten by a  radioactive spider and gains superhuman abilities……but in a Noir setting.

Nothing else has been revealed about the character at this time. With the new inclusion of Spider-Man Noir and the Spider-Gwen revealed, we should expect more “Spiders” to be announced as well.
