Zazie Beetz In Talks To Star In ‘JOKER’ Film Alongside Joaquin Phoenix

More and more news regarding Todd Phillips’ Joker film is making its way to the public. We just got a production start date, a release date, and now even more casting news. This year has been the year for a certain actress, with a starring role in the film Deadpool 2, she has instantly become a fan favorite.

Zazie Beetz killed it as Domino while starring alongside Ryan Reynolds in the vulgar Deadpool sequel. Now, she isn’t leaving superhero lore, but she sure is changing it up. With a film that is pursuing a darker, grittier tone than other big comic book flicks, Beetz would get to really show her chops in this crime/drama Joker film.

Now we have no confirmation as she is only in talks to sign on, but it would be really cool to see this happen. If the role is taken, she would be playing a pivotal character in the film. The description says she’d be a single mother who ends up catching the interest of the man who comes to be known as the Joker. This film just seems to keep getting better and better.

We can’t tell you if she is doing this for sure, but I feel like there’s a solid chance that this is in the realm of possibilities. The film is expected to start filming in September this year in New York. As far as a release date goes, we can expect to see this in theaters on October 4, 2019. Zazie Beetz is taking the world by storm and I’m glad we get to see it happen! What do you think of her playing the love interest of the Joker himself?
