Jordan Peele’s new film Us has added more stars to its cast. The film already starring Elizabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tales), Winston Duke (Black Panther), Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther), and Tom Heidecker has added Anna Diop (24: Legacy) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Greatest Showman).
The film is a follow up to Peele’s Get Out and is being written and directed by Jordan Peele. He is also producing the film with his Monkeypaw partner Ian Cooper. Sean Mckittrick and Jason Blum will also be producing the film. The movie will be a social thriller, another original idea from Peele. This film is the first film of Peele’s Monkeypaws Productions deal with Universal. The film will release on May 15, 2019.
The two new stars of the film can be found in DC’s Titans’ and Aquaman which both premiere this year respectively. Anna Diop will portray Starfire in Titans’ and Abdul-Manteen II will portray the Black Manta in Aquaman. Titans’ premieres this August, while Aquaman will premiere this December. A Titans’ trailer is currently floating around the internet and an Aquaman trailer will be released this weekend at San Diego Comic Con.
