Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is headed to it’s sixth and final season. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered in 2013 and has gone on a really wonderful 5 year soon to be 6 year run. The show’s final season was announced earlier this year after rumors of it get cancelled were put to rest. We don’t know anything about this season yet, except the name of the first episode, who it is written by, and the special director!
According to the Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D. Twitter account’s latest tweet the episode name is, Missing Pieces and it will be directed by Clark Gregg:
Clark Gregg has directed an episode of Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D. before. He directed episode six of last season titled, Funn and Games. He’s also directed Choke (2008), Trust Me (2013) and A Breakfast Nook (2010). He’s no stranger to directing and I’m sure this will be no different. Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 6 will premiere after Avengers 4 and have no mid-season break.
*SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVEN’T FINISHED SEASON FIVE OF AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.*
The new season may begin with some of the members missing or “snapped out of existence*. Last season ended on a happy note with Coulson and May on a beach, Fitz dead, and the rest of the team on a mission with Mack as the new leader. This could be the reasoning behind the title Missing Pieces. The events took place around the same time Thanos’ snap happened and we saw nobody disappear. We know the show is linked with the MCU so somebody had to get dusted, right? Well, we will all find out next year when season 6 premieres!
