Sony brought some new footage for SDCC 2018 and it finally gave us the Venom we’ve been wanting for awhile now. The first trailer was remotely calm in the sense that it showed us hardly any Venom action. This time was different.
Some reports have said that Venom is shooting for an R-rating. The movie has had that vibe from the get-go, but then as more and more information came in, it seemed like the movie will most likely achieve this R-rated dream of theirs. The new footage that was shown provided a much more intense look at Venom as a whole. Check out one of the photos that came from the panel below:
In this scene, the man facing down the monster known as Venom asks him a simple question, “Who are you?” In true symbiote manipulation fashion, the mask reveals half of Tom Hardy’s face and follows with the line, “We are Venom.” Intense, right? I wouldn’t be surprised if the man met a pretty bloody demise after that scene, but we’ll have to wait until October to really see what happens.
Venom is Sony’s perfect opportunity to show that they have the chops to compete in the comic book realm. Do you think that Venom should receive the R-rating it desires? I think it will improve the film tremendously. Let us know your thoughts over at SuperBroMovies! – JB Baker

Venom swings into theaters on October 5, 2018
The world lost a great soul on July 19th with the passing of Jon Schnepp. Medical bills can be insanely expensive, if you can help in anyway possible, it would be greatly appreciated. Rest easy Jon, the world will miss you immensely!
