Yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con, Hasbro revealed the figures that would be included in this year’s Marvel Legends lineup. Among them included Archangel from the X-Men comics, a two-pack of Luke Cage and Claire Temple from the Luke Cage Marvel/Netflix series, and Ultron from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Most notably, this set provides a first look at the character designs for Spider-Ham and Peni Parker in the upcoming movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The Spider-Ham figure design closely reflects the anthropomorphic pig’s appearance in the Peter Porker: The Spectacular Spider-Ham. Not only does the character have the classic webbed red-and-blue suit, he also has a Spider-Man insignia in front of the snout.

The Peni Parker toy set includes a figure of the titular female teenager as well as the mech suit which contains the components of the radioactive spider that also gives Parker wall-crawling superpowers. Although the design for the mech suit is somewhat of a departure from the appearance in the comics, Parker more closely resembles her comics incarnation with her dark hair and small stature.

Given the diverse worlds that will be explored in Into the Spider-Verse, it makes sense these two individuals would be present. It will be interesting to see how the characters will factor into the film’s narrative, in addition to seeing them alongside other Spider-Men like Miles Morales and Peter Parker.
