Angela Bassett States Ramonda & Shuri Were NOT Victims Of The Snap In ‘AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR’

The wrath of Thanos’ snap destroyed more people than one count. The havoc resulted in that of the loss of Spider-Man, Bucky, Hank Pym, the list goes on forever. Right before the release of Avengers: Infinity War, the world was blessed with the release of Black Panther and the vibrant world of Wakanda. Along with that, we got to meet T’Challa’s little sister Shuri and their step-mother Ramonda.

After the ending of Avengers: Infinity War, we saw the snap take Black Panther from us, but there was no word on if Shuri survived, nor her mother. Well now we have a confirmed answer on their fate. While talking to Screen Rant on the Mission Impossible: Fallout press tour, the subject of Infinity War was brought up where she was asked about the fate of Ramonda and Shuri. She responded by saying that she doesn’t believe Shuri or Ramonda were included in the snap’s destruction.

We were first introduced to her character, as well as Shuri upon T’Challa’s return to Wakanda. From there, we would only see Shuri return to Infinity War playing a pivotal role. Although unsuccessful, Shuri attempted to save Vision by extracting the Mind Stone but keeping everything else that Vision had in himself, i.e. Jarvis, Ultron, and so on.

Due to their survival, there’s a solid chance that we may end up seeing both Shuri and Ramonda return in Avengers 4, and even in a Black Panther sequel if that ends up happening. What are your thoughts on the survival of these two characters? What role do you think they could play in the next Avengers film? Let us know over at SuperBroMovies! – JB Baker
