With DC coming out with a new streaming service, it’s no suprise that DC has started to green lit and go into production on many projects for it’s new streaming service. One of thier project is a TV series, which will be a live action series of DC’s group of outcasts, also known as the Doom Patrol.
Diane Guerrero, known for her role as Maritiza Ramos in Orange is the New Black has joined the cast for Doom Patrol. Guerrero is set to play “Crazy Jane” a woman who has an extreme severe case of mulitple personality disorder. Her character has 64 different personas, which makes her a strong asset to the Doom Patrol. Along with that, it also means she is most likely the most unstable person of her team. For the most part, it looks like Guerrero’s character will stick to who she was in the comics.
The Doom Patrol series will surround the team of misfits that consists of Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman, and of course, Crazy Jane, led by Dr. Niles. Together this team will fight together on missions and take them to places that will be the weirdest or the most unexpected, in the DC universe. Doom Patrol will have a 13 episode run for it’s first season as it is set to premiere in 2019.

DOOM PATROL is a re-imagining of one of DC’s most beloved group of outcast Super Heroes: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane, led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief). The Doom Patrol’s members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities—but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence—and to protect Earth from what they find. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of super-powered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Picking up after the events of TITANS, DOOM PATROL will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with a warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same.
