Rebecca Ferguson has landed two huge gigs after Mission Impossible: Fallout‘s success in its first week out. She’s landed roles in the new Men in Black film and Doctor Sleep. She’s going to be a female lead in Men In Black, which means she’ll be starring alongside Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. Production on the film is already begun and will be released in May of 2019. The film is shifting from a two-star cast to a trio. The film is being directed by F. Gary Gary (The Fate of the Furious).
Ferguson is also starring in Doctor Sleep and will play Rose the Hat. Doctor Sleep is a sequel to Stephen King’s The Shining. The film is also starring Ewan McGregor, who will play adult Danny Torrance. Ferguson’s character Rose the Hat will be the leader of a cult that feeds off of young people that shine like Danny. McGregor will be the hero and Ferguson the villain in the film. Mike Flanagan (Gerald’s Game) will be directing the film.
Ferguson has starred in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Fallout, Starz’s The White Queen, The Greatest Showman, and The Snowman. She was eyed for a role in Alien: Covenant and Gambit, she turned down Gambit. We don’t know what happened with Alien, but she was not in the film. She seems to be taking off and a high demand in Hollywood. She will be starring in two highly anticipated films in 2019. She will also most likely return to any future Mission Impossible films if there are any.
