For the upcoming live-action adaptation of Kim Possible, the ‘sitch is looking very good.

Despite some controversy surrounding the casting of relative unknown Sadie Stanley in the title role, the Disney Channel Original Movie should earn some goodwill back by bringing back the original series’ star, Christy Carlson Romano. For any Kim Possible fan, this is huge. Unfortunately, it’s still unknown who she’s playing, which means her role could be anything from critical to a cameo.

Romano isn’t the only original actor returning to the world of Kim Possible. Patton Oswalt is also going to appear in the film, reprising his original series role of Professor Dementor. Booking Oswalt is no small feat, so either the script is really good or Oswalt legitimately loves playing the character.

Regardless of how it turns out, the ambition behind this Kim Possible flick is notable. If it turns out well, there’s a very good chance we could see more Disney Channel classics adapted into live action.
