Disney seems to love it’s live action remakes as there is another one coming to life. Lady and the Tramp, a wonderful love story between two dogs, will now get the live action treatment. With Justin Theroux set to play Tramp, it was inevitable for a casting announcement to come with the actress playing Lady. Now we have it!
Tessa Thompson will be the voice behind Lady in the upcoming movie. She’s made a giant name for herself with films such as Creed, Sorry To Bother You, Thor: Ragnarok, and now she has Creed 2 as well as a Men in Black spinoff in the works. She’s a busy gal, but it makes sense with the talent she brings with her.
The ,movie will consist of CG character animations and Charlie Bean is set to direct, with his previous work consisting of The Lego Ninjago Movie. An interesting route being taken is the fact that the movie will release on the Disney Streaming Service next year rather than a wide theater release.
There’s no word on when production will officially start, nor do we know a release date, but we do know the film will release sometime next year! What are your thoughts on Tessa Thompson joining the Lady and the Tramp ensemble? Let us know over at SuperBroMovies! – JB Baker
