The next iteration of James Bond has gone through some turbulent times. Every new outing for Daniel Craig’s 00 Agent has been met with rumors of his departure. When news of Danny Boyle joining as director broke, fans’ excitement grew as things were taking shape. Boyle’s unique style may have proved too eccentric for the movies producers though.
Today, James Bond 007 social media released a brief, but to the point update on the film.
Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25.
The next film in the Bond franchise was slated to release on November 8, 2019. With just over a year until then, the film will be rushed to replace the spot to make that release. The press statement made no note of a schedule change, so we will have to sit in the dark until further news is released. Who the next director will be and if they will want to revisit the script before they film remains to be seen.
