As first reported by Deadline, it looks like the cast of the Todd Phillips-directed solo adventure following the Clown Prince of Crime just got a little bigger.
Alec Baldwin, best known for his roles on ’30 Rock,’ Boss Baby, and ‘Saturday Night Live,’ has joined the cast in a MAJOR supporting role.
Baldwin will be portraying Thomas Wayne, the billionaire father of the child who would one day become Batman, Bruce Wayne. Sources describe this version of Thomas Wayne as “a cheesy, tanned businessman a la 1980s [Donald] Trump.”
As we previously reported, cameras will begin rolling for the highly anticipated film starring Joaquin Phoenix as the title character this fall. Along with Phoenix and Baldwin, the cast also includes Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, and Marc Maron.
What do you think? Will Baldwin make a good Thomas Wayne? Let us know what you think in the comments below and @superbromovies.
