The Star Wars universe gets bigger and bigger each day, this time adding ‘The Doctor’ himself. Matt Smith of The Crown and Doctor Who fame has joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode XI in an unspecified role.
This news comes days after it was announced Dominic Monaghan would also be added to the cast. Along with not knowing who Smith will be playing, we still don’t even know the title of the film that will see the end to the ‘Skywalker Saga.’
Smith will be joining fellow newcomers, Keri Russel, Richard E. Grant, Dominic Monaghan and Naomi Ackie along with the returning cast of Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver.
Legacy characters such as Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee Williams will return for one last outing. The late Carrie Fisher will also be present through unused footage from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
