Just today we got our first look at leaked set photos from Marvel’s upcoming epic Avengers 4. The images gave us a look at Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, and Scarlet Johansson. But according to a new report, they aren’t the only ones filming scenes for the film.
According to That Hashtag Snow, John Slattery, who plays Tony Stark’s father Howard, has filmed scenes for the movie. This in itself is very interesting information about the upcoming movie. This could perhaps just be a flashback but given all the previous rumors of time travel in the film it seems likely we may see the Avengers travel back in time and meet Tony Stark’s father. And what further suggests this is that the report also states Robert Downey Jr. filmed scenes with Slattery.
This could be Stark once again using his B.A.R.F. technology as he did in Captain America: Civil War but the odds are that it was actually Stark meeting his father in the past. It is unknown as of now how Howard Stark could help the Avengers and his son defeat Thanos but for now, we will just have to wait and see.
It is also interesting that it was Slattery’s version of Howard Stark and not Dominic Cooper who has played the character in Captain America: The First Avenger and Agent Carter. So it would see the Avengers will be going back in time to meet Tony’s father but not too far into the past.
