The production of the upcoming installment in the X-Men film franchise, Dark Phoenix, has been shrouded in controversy since day one. From the decision to keep Bryan Singer on board despite a bevy of allegations to the mystery of what will happen to the X-Men films once the 21st Century Fox acquisition by Disney goes through, the film has become one fans are doubting to see anytime soon, despite the release date still being February 14 of next year.
However, with reshoots well into effect these last few weeks, fans have been getting a few glimpses of the cast and crew hard at work to tell the next story in the 18-year long saga. Below you can see a post by mariopower.official on Instagram that shows, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, two of the greatest actors in this generation, as Charles Xavier and Magneto together for the first time since they came back together during the events of X-Men: Apocalypse.
Despite the concern on the hearts of many Marvel fans, it looks like they can rest easy knowing that at least these two men are working on making this a film like they made with X-Men: First Class and Days of Future Past.
What do you think? Will this film ever see the light of day? Are you already looking towards the inevitable Marvel Studios reboot? Let us know in the comments below and @superbromovies.
