Nate Brail of Heroic Hollywood has recently come across some detail that was dropped at during the DC Universe Panel at New York Comic-con regarding iconic Titans villain, Slade Wilson, also known as Deathstroke. Geoff Johns has revealed that Deathstroke will eventually come aboard the streaming series, Titans, and face off against the young superhero team.
Johns has also said that the show will introduce a different version of the character. Which means Manu Bennett, who plays Deathstroke, will only stay in the Arrowverse on the CW Network. The DC streaming service and its shows will be its own identity. Titans have already been renewed for a second season before the show’s first episode on October 12th. So perhaps, Deathstroke will make its first appearance in the second season provided that the story is right and benefits the villain.
It would have been really interesting had Bennett been given the first opportunity to connect the worlds together. It would have been so entertaining to see the Green Arrow or the Flash cross paths with the Titans. This is a missed opportunity by DC and I hope DC will be able to find the right story where all the shows just crossover at one point down the road.
Do you like that DC will do a new version of Deathstroke or would you like Manu Bennett return? Be sure to let us know @SuperBroMovies on Twitter!
