Idris Elba, Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy, Harry Styles, these are all names that have been tossed into the hat for who people wanted to see play the popular spy after Daniel Craig. One that flew under the radar of everyone is a man by the name of Richard Madden.
Popular for his roles in shows like Game of Thrones, and the newer Bodyguard, it is possible we will see him take on the role of James Bond after Craig finishes his final run. Executive producer of the film, Barbara Broccoli, is supposedly taking Madden very seriously as a candidate for the role. To make matters even more convincing, a source has said the following on the situation;
It’s seriously looking like he [Madden] is going to get the job. Not only is he on top of Barbara’s list, but she is preparing to offer the role.
With Bond 25 being Craig’s last Bond film, speculation as to who will replace him has been at an all time high. It was previously rumored that Elba was a frontrunner for the role, but the rumor was never confirmed.
Richard Madden seems like he’d fit the role perfectly, especially after seeing him in character on Bodyguard. He’d be an asset to the Cary Fukunaga Bond film and a great addition to the small circle of people who have gotten to helm the role.

Bond 25 is slated to release on February 14, 2020 but could change due to production issues
As much as I would love Idris Elba to play Bond, Richard Madden is a happy second choice for me.
